Against the backdrop of these highly polarized debates, this scoping study aimed to examine the extent and nature of existing scientific knowledge about lifelike sex dolls and sex robots, and to identify gaps in theory and evidence, and areas for further investigation.

In accordance with the leading methodological guideline for scoping reviews, the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis Extension for Scoping Reviews (PRISMA-ScR) checklist, below we describe the review objectives, the objective, the sex doll, and the purpose of the Review work separately and purpose.
